• Designed a 2D cooperative arcade game where two players collect falling valuables while avoiding mistakes before the police arrive.
• Built the gameplay around dual-character coordination, allowing solo play or shared keyboard co-op.
• Focused on fast decision-making, where players must judge which falling items are worth catching.
• Used simple side-to-side movement to keep the challenge centered on timing and teamwork.
• Designed the pacing to stay short, funny, and immediately understandable for game jam play.
• Balancing two-player movement on one screen felt chaotic early on
→ Adjusted falling speed and spacing so players had clearer reaction time.
• Some items were too easy to catch, reducing tension
→ Mixed valuable items with riskier drop timing to create better choices.
• Solo play needed to remain possible despite co-op design
→ Kept movement readable enough so one player can still manage both sides with practice.
This project was a fun exercise in designing around comedy and quick player interaction. I liked how simple controls could still create chaotic moments when timing and teamwork came together.
